CGS Opens Its Quiet Doors in Bukchon

After unveiling its first Coexistence collection, CGS extends its surreal universe into a new chapter — a soft opening showroom nestled in the historic alleys of Bukchon, Seoul.

A Showroom in the Hanok District

Following its Yeoksam debut last summer, CGS — the fragrance and object brand founded by creative director Gi Seok Cho — is quietly unveiling a new showroom in Bukchon. The space marks the brand's second physical chapter, translating Cho's surreal visual language into the textured stillness of a hanok neighborhood.

Known for its narrative-driven approach to scent and form, CGS continues to resist the conventional retail format. The Bukchon space is designed less as a store and more as a sensory passage — one that invites visitors to wander through the brand's universe at their own pace.

From Coexistence to Continuity

The Bukchon showroom carries forward the world first introduced in Coexistence — CGS's debut collection built around the symbols of flowers, butterflies, angels, and devils. The three fragrances of the collection — Flower Study, Bad Dream, and Love and Hate — find a new home here, alongside the brand's growing line of sachets and objects.

Where the Yeoksam studio felt private and labyrinthine, the Bukchon space leans into atmosphere — slower, quieter, and shaped by the architectural rhythm of its surroundings.
